Objectives :

  • Accurately Assess and Manage Wounds and Stomas, Including Measurement, Classification, Infection Risk, Pain Assessment, and Selection of Evidence‐Based Interventions and Dressings
  • Apply Evidence‐Based Strategies to Prevent, Treat, and Monitor Patients, Incorporating Pressure Injury Prevention, Infection Control, Nutritional Support, Patient Safety, and Referral Criteria for Delayed Healing
  • Apply Clinical Reasoning, Documentation, and Patient Education Skills, Including Individualized Care Planning, Legal and Ethical Documentation, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, and Hands‐on Wound Care Competency to Improve Patient Outcomes
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Wound Types and Healing Processes, Including Acute, Chronic, and Complex Wounds, as Well as Stoma Care
